LEED Gold Certification
The headquarter of Banco ABC Brasil is located in the city of São Paulo in a building with LEED Gold certification, attesting the adoption of sustainable construction practices. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification is awarded by the Green Building Council and aims to encourage the adoption of sustainable construction practices by assigning ratings to green buildings, which are classified through the following levels: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. To be granted a rating, the building is evaluated taking into consideration issues such as rational use of water, energy efficiency, selection of the construction materials, indoor environmental quality, and innovative strategies.
Banco ABC Brasil monitors its consumption, in an effort to obtain information to identify opportunities for improving and increasing efficiency.
To reduce the temperature inside the office building, and thus decrease the need for intense use of air-conditioning, film was applied in the glazing of the floors, in addition to the use of window blinds.
To reduce paper consumption, we conducted a document digitalization process and implemented electronic signature tools.
To promote the recycling process, the bank disposes of identified waste garbage cans for the selective collection of recyclable and non-recyclable residues.
