Commitments and ESG Ratings

ABC Brasil has become a signatory to the Global Pact, the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative, which mobilizes the business sector to act in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is in line with our strategic ambition to foster sustainability throughout our value chain, promoting the cross-cutting nature of the issue at ABC Brasil.

We are a CDP’s signatory investor, a non-profit institution that manages the global reporting system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions on their environmental impacts. The global economy considers CDP to be the gold standard of environmental reporting, with the richest and most comprehensive set of data on corporate and municipal actions.

S&P is a benchmark for companies that have commitments related to sustainability. It assesses annually the social and environmental responsibility of publicly traded organizations.

Morningstar Sustainalytics assesses companies’ exposure to ESG-related risks and their respective management. This methodology classifies risks into five levels of severity.

MSCI ESG Ratings monitors the long-term resilience of companies and the ESG risks to which they are exposed, providing a ranking ranging from CCC (companies with high exposure and poor management of significant ESG risks) to AAA (companies that are leaders in managing relevant ESG risks and opportunities).
